Ages 4-6

04 July - 16 July 2017

This year’s Summer Workshops program is packed with fun! Designed for ages 4 to 17 and inspired by our new exhibitions Doublethink: Double vision and José Sancho, the workshops explore such themes as nature and book culture.

Ages 4-6 can discover the Costa Rican artist José Sancho’s relationship with animals and his country’s natural wonders. The age group 7-12 can explore the different techniques used to design book covers, writing, drawing, and recycling.

Hera Büyüktaşçıyan, one of the artists of the exhibition Doublethink: Doublevision, is leading a workshop for the ages 13-17. In “ABC of My Print House,” she will demonstrate the fundamental idea underlying printing techniques, by creating a single text using three different languages, one of which has been used since historic times while the other two have their own writing techniques.

Following the workshops, Pera Education will present a showcase of all the wondeful objects created by children and teens in the month of August; the showcase will also be presented online!
