Pera Film hosts a series of events in the context of the 35th Istanbul Film Festival, organized by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (IKSV). As part of Festival Talks, Suzan Avcı and Murathan Mungan come together on Wednesday, April 13th at 16:30.

Winning the love and admiration of viewers during the most spectacular period of Yeşilçam, Suzan Avcı was the most iconic of supporting roles. At this festival talk, the legendary Avcı will be meeting writer, playwright, and poet Murathan Mungan to discuss and reminisce this period and their careers.

Free of admissions. The talk will be in Turkish.

1638, the year Louis XIV was born –his second name, Dieudonné, alluding to his God-given status– saw the diffusion of a cult of maternity encouraged by the very devout Anne of Austria, in thanks for the miracle by which she had given birth to an heir to the French throne. Simon François de Tours (1606-1671) painted the Queen in the guise of the Virgin Mary, and the young Louis XIV as the infant Jesus, in the allegorical portrait now in the Bishop’s Palace at Sens.
