Pera Museum continues to collaborate with national and international education institutions to introduce young artists’ and designers’ works to audiences. As part of the Confrontation exhibit held on the 25th anniversary of Yeditepe University, events bring panelists from different disciplines together.
The talk on “Intellectualism and Creativity in Acting” will focus on the questions of “How can we render the art of acting to be more than simply imitation?” and “What is the relationship between creativity, intellectualism and critical thinking?” in discussing the actor’s approach and responsibility in the world they live in today.
This meeting will be held on Zoom in Turkish. Reservations are required.

Curated by Marcus Graf, Confrontation featured art production by the students and graduates of Yeditepe University Faculty’s Fine Arts on the 25th year anniversary of the university.

In a bid to review the International System of Units (SI), the International Bureau of Weights and Measures gathered at the 26th General Conference on Weights and Measures on November 16, 2018. Sixty member states have voted for changing four out of seven basic units of measurement. The kilogram is among the modified. Before describing the key points, let us have a closer look into the kilogram and its history.
In 1998 Ben Jakober and Yannick Vu collaborated on an obvious remake of Marcel Duchamp’s Roue de Bicyclette, his first “readymade” object. Duchamp combined a bicycle wheel, a fork and a stool to create a machine which served no purpose, subverting accepted norms of art.
