From Image to Sound: Musical Collective Composition

Led by music therapist Danny D. Kora, the workshop is a musical exploration centered on active participation. Participants use techniques such as songwriting and musical communication and create a musical composition through interchangeable shapes inspired by the works of Vera Molnár, Maurer and Rákóczy.

About Danny D. Kora
Danny D. Kora, a graduate of the Berklee College of Music with a degree in Music Therapy, has been working with children and adults in Istanbul since 2008. His areas of expertise include mental health, trauma rehabilitation, and the developmental needs of children. Believing that music is an intercultural bond, Kora is a member of the Society of Art Psychotherapies (SPD) and plays many musical instruments such as guitar, percussion, vocals, piano, drums, baglama, oud, harmonica, ney. Kora, who has contributed to the field of music therapy with his book chapters and articles including projects in Turkey and abroad, his work with refugees and mental health, is also known as Danny Lundmark.
