Miniature Excavation Site: Dig, Find, Share!

Pera Kids
Ages: 7-12

  • April 20, 2023 / 10:30

We're doing an archaeological dig at the museum! Participants first learn about what archeology is and its methods, then follow the basic principles of archeology at the miniature excavation sites in the workshop and try to uncover the traces of the past with tiny replicas of some of the artifacts from The Art of Weights and Measures exhibition. In the workshop, where different stages such as sifting the soil, recording the stratigraphy, taking photos, drawing the trench and filling the excavation diary will take place with teamwork, the participants finally comment on their findings and talk about archeology.

Good News from the Skies

Good News from the Skies

Inspired by the exhibition And Now the Good News, which focusing on the relationship between mass media and art, we prepared horoscope readings based on the chapters of the exhibition. Using the popular astrological language inspired by the effects of the movements of celestial bodies on people, these readings with references to the works in the exhibition make fictional future predictions inspired by the horoscope columns that we read in the newspapers with the desire to receive good news about our day.
