Online Exhibition Tour for Nursing Homes

Care home residents and their companions are taken on 3D online guided tours of the Etel Adnan: Impossible Homecoming exhibition during which they get informed about a selection of artworks. Online tours designed as cognitively stimulant activities for dementia and Alzheimer’s patients offer an enjoyable and engaged way to discover the artworks.

In 1998 Ben Jakober and Yannick Vu collaborated on an obvious remake of Marcel Duchamp’s Roue de Bicyclette, his first “readymade” object. Duchamp combined a bicycle wheel, a fork and a stool to create a machine which served no purpose, subverting accepted norms of art.
