Early morning in Paris, fragments of lives... A man comes home early from celebrating the millennium; a young woman dies of an overdose; two people meet and have sex; a man has a disturbing erotic experience in the Metro... Vincent Dieutre opens the exploration of his Paris district, Bonne Nouvelle, with a 360° pan shot. Told in three voices, with Eva Truffaut and Bojena Horackova, these micro-stories of flirting and drugs serve as fictional parables. The image of an unmade bed is the starting point from which Dieutre sets out in search of lost time and territories.
Following the screening of this film, Vincent Dieutre’s festival talk will take place at Pera Museum at 17.00.
Inspired by the great European masters, from Renaissance to Art Nouveau, Berber’s works exemplify the deep, opaque whites of his journeys through the fairy tale landscapes of Bosnia to the dark, macabre burrows of Srebrenica.
While Paula Rego belatedly was recognised as one of the leading feminist pioneers of her age, little has been written about her exploration of fluid sexuality. Indeed the current of sado-masochism in her drawings and paintings, has tended to encourage an understanding as a classic clash between the patriarchy and exploited women.
He was born on April 18, 1935 in the province of Puntarenas, Costa Rica. His family migrated to the capital, San José, where in 1952 he earned a bachelor’s degree from the Lyceum of Costa Rica.
