Pera Film hosts a series of events in the context of the 35th Istanbul Film Festival, organized by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (IKSV). “Burak Göral’s Guide to Selecting Films for Children” workshop will be held on Saturday, April 9th at 13:00.
More than just a tool of entertainment, cinema can be helpful to your children in better understanding life itself. And, how to match them with the right films? Which films should we introduce them to and at what age? How should we differentiate films which would not be appropriate for their ages or would adversely affect their psyche? Heed film critic and screenwriter Burak Göral’s words concerning “children and film.”
Free of admissions. Workshop language is Turkish.

The second part of exhibition illustrates Alberto Giacometti’s relations with Post-Cubist artists and the Surrealist movement between 1922 and 1935, one of the important sculptures series he created during his first years in Paris, and the critical role he played in the art scene of the period.
He didn’t expect this from me. And I hadn’t expected that we would decide to get married that day, at that moment. Everything happened all of a sudden, but exactly like it was supposed to happen in our day. We, by which I mean some of my classmates and I, knew about Paula Rego. I’ll have to admit, I didn’t know where Rego was from or even where in Europe Portugal was. I thought she was English. Let me tell you how I first heard the very un-English sounding name “Paula Rego”
