Director: César Vayssié
Cast: Elsa Michaud, Gabriel Gauthier
France, 2018, 88’, color
French with Turkish, English subtitle

César Vayssié has recorded the lives of Elsa Michaud and Gabriel Gauthier for a year. As they study Fine Arts in Paris, they experience a love relationship during troubled times, overwhelmed by visuals. Fifty years after the events of May 1968, a globalised violence is even more visible, digital era is now confronted to outlines of stories and the insignificance of gestures. To a background of Elsa and Gabriel’s visuals and images from the internet, with the music of Avia x Orly, this documentary-experiment-journal is the reflection of an unsettled era, a too fast transformation.

Good News from the Skies

Good News from the Skies

Inspired by the exhibition And Now the Good News, which focusing on the relationship between mass media and art, we prepared horoscope readings based on the chapters of the exhibition. Using the popular astrological language inspired by the effects of the movements of celestial bodies on people, these readings with references to the works in the exhibition make fictional future predictions inspired by the horoscope columns that we read in the newspapers with the desire to receive good news about our day.
