Pera Learning organizes online and face-to-face workshops for participants between the ages of 4-17 as part of the Dance with Colors program between 18 March - 30 April 2023.
In workshops within the scope of the Paula Rego: The Story of Stories exhibition, participants experience the healing power of creative dance and movement, paint with fabrics, and create illustrated stories that are means of artistic expression of feelings and thoughts; they design puppets and animal portraits inspired by the frequently recurring themes in the artist's works.
Participants learn concepts such as storytelling, sketching, composition in painting, surrealism, magical realism, and abstract/figurative art through the works and artistic practice of Paula Rego.

Paula Rego is a Portuguese/British artist who revolutionised the ways women are represented and is not one to compromise her truths. The Story of Stories shows how Rego authentically confronts oppression, authority, and institutional violence while not being afraid to reveal her own personal nature and socio-political context.
Henryk Weyssenhoff, author of landscapes, prints, and illustrations, devoted much of his creative energies to realistic vistas of Belorussia, Lithuania, and Samogitia. A descendant of an ancient noble family which moved east to the newly Polonised Inflanty in the 17th century, the young Henryk was raised to cherish Polish national traditions.
A series of small and rather similar nudes Bedri Rahmi Eyüboğlu and Eren Eyüboğlu produced in the early 1930s almost resemble a ‘visual conversation’ that focus on a pictorial search. It is also possible to find the visual reflections of this earlier search in the synthesis Bedri Rahmi Eyüboğlu reached with his stylistic abstractions in the 1950s.
