The exhibition Re/Framing Louis Kahn: Photographs by Cemal Emden – Drawings and Paintings focused on the architectural and artistic works of Louis I. Kahn – architect, thinker, artist, and an “architectural guru” who is considered among the leading figures of 20th century architecture.

The exhibition Look At Me! Portraits and Other Fictions from the ”la Caixa” Contemporary Art Collection examined portraiture, one of the oldest artistic genres, through a significant number of works of our times. Paintings, photographs, sculptures and videos shaped a labyrinth of gazes that invite spectators to reflect themselves in the social mirror of portraits.

Pera Museum hosted the 15^th Istanbul Biennial, organized by Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV) and sponsored by Koç Holding. The 15^th Istanbul Biennial brought together artworks by 55 artists from 32 countries, all addressing different notions of home, belonging and neighbourhood.

Pera Museum’s Summmer '17 exhibition brought together the products of the creative world of children and teams who participated in the summer workshops inspired by the Doublethink: Double vision and José Sancho exhibitions. Including the works of three separate age groups (4-6, 7-12, and 13-17), the exhibition added its own color to Pera Education Workshop from August 1 to September 17.

Recognized as one of the leading sculptors of Costa Rica, José Sancho pursues a broad range of themes in his works, yet nature is always the most essential starting point. His unique conceptual style constitutes a fine example of a dialogue that can be established between what is local and global, particular and universal.

Thinking has changed radically, but many people don't appear to have noticed. Our institutions have been stuck on linear Neo-Platonic tracks for 24 centuries. These antiquated processes of deduction have lost their authority. Just like art it has fallen off its pedestal. Mersad Berber (1940 – 2012) is one of the greatest and most significant representatives of Bosnian–Herzegovinian art from the second half of the 20^th century. His vast body of expressive and unique works triggered the local art scene’s recognition into Europe as well as the international stage.
