Pera Film once again presents its World AIDS Day-special film screening event: I’m Here!

After a one-year closure period. Istanbul International Experimental Film Festival, is preparing to bring together the most unique works of contemporary experimental cinema with the cinema lovers of Istanbul for the third time between 12-21 November. 

Pera Film relaunches its venue screenings with To be Continued... Now!, a program of TV and web series. As the viewing experience has shifted to online platforms and computer screens due to the pandemic, Pera Film invites audiences back to movie theaters to enjoy the experience of watching series on the silver screen. 

Pera Film presents Our Real Home is Our Life, the online film program within the scope of the exhibition, Impossible Homecoming, that was opened in April at Pera Museum.

Pera Film is hosting 14th DOCUMENTARIST Istanbul Documentary Days. As part of the festival Pera Film will be screening the Turkish Panorama program as well as other screenings. All the screenings will be free of charge at Pera Museum Auditorium. 

Pera Film celebrates Pride Week with an online movie program. Titled Whole New World, after the famous song by SOPHIE, the trans musician who passed away in early 2021, the program will feature four movies that depict the lives of queer characters who are trying to create a whole new world at work, at home, in the streets, and everywhere they are.

A Question of Taste deals with kitsch, a concept whose meaning has shifted since the 19th century, and the intimate relationship this concept has established with today's visual culture as well as its critical role in shaping taste.

Pera Film, in collaboration with Istanbul Unbound, presents an online screening of the documentary Natura Urbana | The Brachen of Berlin.  

Pera Film offers an online viewing of a selection of artworks from the Crystal Clear exhibition at Pera Museum.

Pera Film presents a retrospective selection of films and short videos by Sadie Benning, one of the leading figures of experimental cinema in the US. In this program titled Sadie Benning: Resilience Diaries, six of Benning’s works will be presented online.

The Miniature 2.0: Miniature in Contemporary Art exhibition is a collection of works that take miniature as a point of departure, showcasing different approaches to miniature and the principles they have in common. What the artists in the exhibition have in common is the fact that they look at the world through the lens of miniatures. The program titled Stepping In, Stepping Out features three films that trace the reflection of the subjects the artists in the exhibition address through miniature, and that try to offer both an insider’s and an outsider’s view on their stories.
