Pera Museum is hosting the Greek Film Days for the third time, an event that once again brings together classic and award-winning films of Greek cinema with movie enthusiasts.
Organized in collaboration with EMEIS Cultural Collective from Greece and istos film and istos publishing from Turkey, the program will take place at the Pera Museum Auditorium from December 3 to 8, 2024. The event kicks off with The Striker with Number 9, a poignant sports film by Pantelis Voulgaris, which competed for the Golden Bear Award at the 1988 Berlin Film Festival. Over the course of the event, audiences will have the chance to watch 17 significant films from 1980s and 1990s Greek cinema.
This program’s screenings are free admission. Drop in, no reservations. As per legal regulations, all our screenings are restricted to persons over 18 years of age, unless stated otherwise.

The second part of exhibition illustrates Alberto Giacometti’s relations with Post-Cubist artists and the Surrealist movement between 1922 and 1935, one of the important sculptures series he created during his first years in Paris, and the critical role he played in the art scene of the period.
The exhibition “Look At Me! Portraits and Other Fictions from the ”la Caixa” Contemporary Art Collection” examined portraiture, one of the oldest artistic genres, through a significant number of works of our times. Paintings, photographs, sculptures and videos shaped a labyrinth of gazes that invite spectators to reflect themselves in the social mirror of portraits.
