Thomas Anderson leads a double life: by day, he is an ordinary computer programmer, and by night, he becomes Neo, a hacker known in underground circles. However, Neo senses that something is missing in his life. This unease deepens when he encounters the enigmatic Trinity and the charismatic leader Morpheus. Morpheus reveals the truth to Neo: Humanity has been enslaved by artificial intelligence and is trapped in a simulation called the Matrix. Morpheus believes Neo is "The One," destined to escape this illusionary world.

Winner of four Academy Awards, The Matrix blends science fiction and action with profound philosophical themes, questioning "reality" and "free will." Its groundbreaking visual effects and fight choreography have inspired countless works in cinema and beyond.

The Ottoman Way of Serving Coffee

The Ottoman Way of Serving Coffee

Coffee was served with much splendor at the harems of the Ottoman palace and mansions. First, sweets (usually jam) was served on silverware, followed by coffee serving. The coffee jug would be placed in a sitil (brazier), which had three chains on its sides for carrying, had cinders in the middle, and was made of tombac, silver or brass. The sitil had a satin or silk cover embroidered with silver thread, tinsel, sequin or even pearls and diamonds.
