Megara, one of the most significant documentaries in contemporary Greek cinema, records one of the country's most serious ecological disasters. In 1973, the government decided to expropriate vast agricultural land with majestic olive trees to build an oil refinery. The rightful rebellion of the residents of Megara, who stood up for their land and olive trees, transformed into one of the first mass protests against the military junta.
